through faith and work"

Parents' Association (PA)

 What is the PA?
How do we raise funds?

The Parents’ Association (PA) at King David High School are an enthusiastic group of parents that meet once a month during the academic year and work in partnership with the school to help raise additional funds by running events for both the King David Community and our local community. All parents of students at the school automatically become members of the PA and being part of the PA is one of the best ways to become involved in King David life.

The PA raise additional funds for the school by running events for King David and the wider community.  Our aim is always to try and raise as much money as possible to support King David.

Our successful fundraisers include:

  • King David’s Got Talent
  • Annual Winter Raffle
  • Book sale
  • Ladies Fashion Show
  • 100 Club

 How have the PA helped?

Fundraising for the future

All money made from our events goes back to the school to improve the education for the students. The School Council work with the PA regarding fundraising and they have a say into how the money we donate to King David is spent. Our events have helped to purchase:

  • EduLink One
  • Picnic Benches
  • Equipment for the SEN room
  • Bike racks
  • Board games for Chill Club

We are currently fundraising for the following:

  • Football Goal Posts
  • Books for the library
  • Funding for a school musical

How can I get involved?

Contact the PA

We always appreciate any interest from parents wanting to join the King David PA and welcome fresh/new ideas, help and support. We also like to make connections with businesses around the community too. Joining the PA does not mean you give hours and hours of your time, it can be simply giving a few hours as and when you can.

MATCHED FUNDING

Does your place of work offer to match the money raised at a PTA event? This can double the money that we make at an event. It makes a real difference to the money we can give to school. If you work for a large company or bank and think you can help, please email the PA with your details and we will get in touch with you. Thank you!

What is the 100 Club?

How to enter

  • The 100 Club is the most simple and effective way to help the school. It gives you the chance to win one of three monetary prizes monthly!
  • The prizes to be won are £30, £25 and £20.
  • We allocate you a number and three numbers are randomly selected each month in our monthly meeting.
  • If you win, we send your prize money by post.
  • To get involved, you can buy your numbers on ParentPay.
  • For just £1, this will buy you one number in this month’s draw. You can buy as many numbers as you wish and you can either pay yearly or monthly. E.g. a payment of £12 will buy you one number in twelve monthly draws or you could pay £4 a month, and this will buy you four numbers in one month’s draw.

If you are unsure if you have renewed your 100 Club numbers, please contact the PA.
