Our Vision
King David Kindergarten is a welcoming, nurturing and stimulating environment where every child is supported in their individual needs so that they can best achieve in ways appropriate for them.
We strive to provide all children with the skills they need to prepare them for school; from building confidence and friendships to gaining self-care skills and independence. It is our aim that when leaving King David Kindergarten all children have a positive sense of who they are and a proudness for the things that make them unique.
Every member of staff is committed to the learning and development of all children across an equal focus on all seven areas of the EYFS. Staff encourage children to seek out challenges and model a ‘keep trying’ attitude. Those children who sit either above or below the expected age level are recognised by staff to ensure that they too make progress to the best of their ability.
Communication and language underpins everything we do at King David Kindergarten and regular interactive story and rhyme times, along with clear language modelling by staff, are amongst the ways vocabulary is extended and early reading skills embedded.
Those children requiring additional support with communication and language are quickly identified and supported, with the help of external agencies where appropriate, so that they make the best possible progress.
