Success at Pupil Premium Awards 2015. Prize Winner £50,000
King David High School was selected as a finalist for the 2015 Pupil Premium Awards. Mrs Smith. Miss Coghlan and Mrs Hayward travelled to London on March 25 for the presentation of the award at Draper’s Hall.
The awards were presented by Nick Clegg – Deputy Prime Minister and David Laws Minister of State for Schools.
We won a regional finalist award of £50,000 because of our excellence in educating disadvantaged pupils and improving their outcomes. As well as being one of the highest achieving schools in the country in terms of the value added and attainment of disadvantaged pupils, we also received recognition from David Laws as one of the top 100 non-selective schools in the country based on the Key Stage 2 to Key Stage 4 value added measure.
We are delighted with this award which recognises the hard work of pupils staff and governors as well as the continuing support of our parents.
Well done to all!
