THIS IS A FIXED TERM FULL TIME CONTRACT – 1 Sept 2010 to 31 August 2011

King David High School is a Jewish faith based school located in South Liverpool and serving the needs of the Jewish and wider community. The last OFSTED Report judged the school to be good with outstanding elements and outstanding at Sixth Form.

The school is part of a new build programme developing an exciting community campus facility scheduled to open in September 2011. A key element of the change management programme is the revision of the staffing structure in order to build upon current success.
The governors wish to invite applications from suitably qualified graduates with a proven teaching track record and the ability and ambition to drive improvement in this curriculum area and become part of a strong and dedicated team.

The ICT/Business Studies Department is very successful across all Key Stages and attracts very large numbers in the Sixth Form. The successful candidate must have a good honours degree and be able to teach ICT to KS5. The ability to teach Business Studies to KS4 and KS5 and knowledge of the BTEC First Certificate and Edexcel Applied Business GCE would be an advantage.

King David High School seeks to appoint a suitable person who is able to supervise classes when teachers are absent. The successful candidate will also be expected to play a full role in school life and support both teachers and students alike.
